Hi everyone, just wanted to add some updates about the Canadian 2023 iX xDrive50 ordering info that I just found out today.
1. Base price has gone up to $93k, an increase of $3k
2. What used to be standard equipment (active 4 wheel steering and 2 axle air suspension) are now an option for $4,650 (ZDE dynamic handling package)
3. The ZDE option is a requirement if you want the ZGT premium enhanced package
4. ZGT also requires 6PA personal eSIM for $400
5. Parking assistant professional (was $500 upcharge in 2022) is now standard in the ZGT premium enhanced package for the same price $9,900, but will be losing the interior camera (minus around $150 I think), and of course the passenger massage/lumbar from the multifunction front seats...so really should be called multifunction driver's seat.
6. B&W sound no longer available, only in M60.
7. Good news is other options remain the same as in 2022.
So...essentially BMW Canada has raised the price for a fully loaded iX xDrive50 by $8k....not too impress but it is what it is. 🤬

fshlee: Thanks for the update. BMW Canada configurator still quotes a "2022" iX xDrive50 for C$92,792.00 which is ridiculous. The new car and options price increase could be absorbed easier if it came with a delivery improvement. BMW Canada are joggling prices and options while keeping the delivery info under the lid.

I put a deposit down in April 2022, still no luck from that dealership, and they said will have to wait for October allocation and see. Then recently I went to another dealership and they were able to get me into week 39 built this year. So if all goes well, should be getting it around Christmas. From what I was told, BMW Canada allocates them to each dealership and the dealers have no control over how many they get. The dealership I am now getting from did say that their iX July and August built were all delayed and pushed to September, I wonder if that has anything to do with the battery recall.

2022 is definitely better, both in terms of pricing and equipment level.
When I talked to the sales manager a couple of days ago, who is in charge of ordering from BMW, he said the only thing for sure is gone is interior camera. Though other things might be gone as well, and won't know until the VIN gets generated. 🤬🤬🤬

I entered my reservation back in March 2022 and yesterday my dealer contacted me to say that it was time for my order to be entered into the system. It will be a November build with a December/January delivery, if all things go well. Seems a little aggressive to me based on other peoples experience in this forum, so not holding my breath. Of course, I'll be presently surprised if it happens. More likely Feb/March IMO which isn't great since it will still be winter with salt and snow. Still, I'm excited that the process has moved on to the next stage.

I went with the following config - a lot of dependencies on the options/packages for the '23 so the orders will either be fully loaded or basic.

Font Screenshot Number Parallel Rectangle

Other MSRP Options include:- Amido leather, Black Sapphire Metallic paint, and Gesture Control.
He had included the Bronze trim, but I'm not too keen on it so will get him to remove it.
Tailgate kick, B&W, interior camera, and passenger lumber support are all still unavailable on the 2023 ix50. Really wanted the B&W but nothing I can do about that.

Anyway, hang in there if you are still waiting for your order entry/vehicle. Looks like things are moving along.

Lucky you! I left my deposit Aug 2021 and the salesperson just called yesterday and verified the configuration for the system... I don't even know the build yet but with the ZDE and ZGT tied everyone basically gets the fully loaded or the very basic

I know. The 2022 version was so much better for the options available and price.
Hope you get more details of your build soon!

I submitted my deposit on Feb. 4, 2022 and was contacted 10 days ago by my sales rep that he has an allocation for me; my 2023 iX xDrive50 is scheduled to be built in October for late November or early December delivery. (Fingers crossed!) I test drove one about 3 weeks ago and it was amazing. The changes in pricing and options over the 2022 model are disappointing and I've been agonizing over spending thousands of dollars extra for options I don't really want in order to get the package I want, the Premium Enhanced Package. I had been wavering back-and-forth on the Dynamic Handling Package, but it's now mandatory with the Premium Enhanced package, as are BMW Gesture Control, Personal eSIM, and Driving Assistant Professional. So I'm biting the bullet and going for the Enhanced and will now stop driving my sales rep crazy with questions and changes to my order. I'm ordering Blue Ridge Mountain, black Sensatec upholstery, and 20" #1002 wheels. Very excited.

Congratulations on placing your order @GailO and welcome to the forum! Great color combination. Is the iX going to be your first EV?

Thanks for the welcome! I've owned a Volvo XC90-T8 plug-in hybrid for 6 years (2016 model). Its range is only 29 kilometres but it's been great for city driving. I've been waiting and waiting for a fully electric, decent-sized SUV with extended range to hit the market.

Don’t worry, you made a good move. The dynamic handling package is the “must get” for iX in my opinion.

I'll let you know soon....went into production this week, now in status 152 entry paint shop. Tentatively delivery in Nov. I'm guessing end of Nov.
That’s great news! Hopefully it will come sooner. How are you tracking its status? Thru your SA? I wish us Canadians could track our builds the same way as our southerly neighbors.
