I just cut along the line of the rest of the mat. It’s no big deal. I don’t even know where they were on the mat so it much not be visible.
I did not replace the Velcro.

I got the weather mat from amazon. Fit perfectly. No manual cutting is needed, and good price.

Welcome to the forum @mysnoopy and thanks for sharing these photos! Looks like the fit nicely. Do they feel when you're driving?

How long have you had your iX for?

The mats fit very well. Feel very solid. It won't move around and no blocking issues.

I ordered my ix on mid of May 22 and got it delivered on 2022 new year's eve 12/31. I love it. I am so glad and do not regret that I cancelled my Tesla Model X order. I got more but paid less.
Received the trunk mat today. Fit well as the front and rear row mats.

Yes, cut the tabs off. I had problems getting all the tabs to fit but the mats fit very well anyways, look OK.
Sorry I'm late to the discussion and i know this question has done the rounds but has anyone had any luck playing video files on iDrive 8. I'd be happy watching from usb drive if anyone can help. Ref my iX 40, thanks.

Had to be coded on iD7, and coding iD8 seems to be a non-starter so I'm guessing no.
This function on an electric car is a no brainer while sitting waiting on it to charge, silly to have to pull out an ipad or tablet with that big screen sitting there unused 😕
Except that it draws power, even a miniscule amount, and even while on a DC charger. Not an apologist, but I'm just gaining insights into BMW's philosophy with this car after owning it over a year. Even the door puddle lamps draw 1/3 the power of BMW's own aftermarket door lamp projectors. They measured weight reduction in grams. No OEM RFT (weight). No compact spare. No roof rails. CFRP everywhere. It's made for range and speed, in a modestly under 3 ton vehicle, at the sacrifice of some functions and features that BMW owners have traditionally enjoyed. Not saying that's the reason, but the more I drive it, the more I realize this car is trimmed down, slimmed down and turned down to squeeze the absolute maximum out of everything in it electronic and aerodynamic.

All good points and makes sense 👍

I'm glad you're happy but those are the ugliest mats I've ever seen and are going to be a complete bitch to clean with all of those hexagons trapping dirt and mud inside. These "mats" make a car look decidedly down-market.

Purchased OEM front and rear rubber mats, as well as the one for the trunk. The trunk mat is a bit clunky, makes it harder to access the underfloor compartment.

Also purchased Travel & Comfort coat hanger:

The trunk mat is a bit stiff at first, once it settles its fine. There's also a crease in the middle to access the storage underneath. Saving the carpet mats for summer so these are ideal for winter months. Also purchased the key fob cover, some cleaning products and BMW valve caps which are great quality

Tux mats are in stock:

I ordered the Tuxmats. They appear to offer protection far superior to the BMW mats and they are much cheaper!
I purchased the WeatherTech fitted front and rear mats for my IX and what I like about them is that they are hooked to the floor via an adaptor that replaces the BMW Velcro pieces and holds the mats nicely in place

I have a problem with my back, and the seats in the IX presses on a nerve or something. Have anyone found a seat cushion that may be usable for the front seat?
Got these pedals on ebay
