When I test drove IX40 I started in adaptive regeneration mode which does allow coasting but does need use of brake at times. Changed to high regeneration which allowed for one pedal driving but with no coasting. Picking up my IX next week but wondered what owners preferred regeneration is and if one over the other makes much difference to range/efficiency.

I was able to take an iX50 for a 4-hour test drive and I preferred the adaptive regen, I really liked the intelligence of the adaptive regen. For economy purposes, coasting is better than regen, and also my wife gets car sick with full regen on in any EV, so adaptive works best for us.
