The iX continues to surprise me. I just learned that it's ambient lighting is integrated with its safety system! This video is a pretty detailed review.

That's cool. Apparently they have used the standard color for indication, i.e. Red to warn or alert the driver.

I was driving in efficient mode with the pale blue lighting, pulled over to load something in to the boot/trunk, put the hazards on, opened the rear passenger doors to access the rear and the pale blue colour on the passengers doors changed to red flashes red in sync with the hazard lights, all other lighting stays pale blue.

I’m so easily impressed.
