Hey everyone! I'm Scott with Insight Auto Consulting, one of the top BMW brokers on Leasehackr and elsewhere.

I did this on i4Talk when I joined that community and I thought it would be a fun thing to do here too.

Ask me anything! I can pull back the curtain on all things BMW.

Want me to review your deal? Current lease programs and incentives? Anything you can think of, I'm happy to answer to the best of my ability, so ask away!

Let's try to keep questions in the thread so everyone can see the answers and we can keep this useful for everyone.'

Chris, who is the owner of the company, who will also be here to chime in, own's an iX xDrive50 himself!

Hey Scott welcome to the forum! Since the iX launched what has the interest been like on your end from customers?

Thanks for the welcome. It honestly hasn't been a hot seller, but now that deals are are starting to come available, we are starting to see some traction, as we are currently offering 10% off MSRP on '23 In Stock iX's.

We had a client pickup a beautiful Phytonic Blue xDrive50 2 days ago, and a demo '22 xDrive50 last week.
Wish I'd seen this 2 weeks ago - I paid $1k under MSRP for my iX, but they gave a very high value on my trade.

Do you have any good deals on 2023 X5? We're hoping for some deals since the 2024 LCI is out...

I'm surprised that any BMW dealership can keep those iXs in stock! My wife and I have owned a 2012 Chevy Volt, 2013 Rav4 EV, 2014 Cadillac ELR, Ford Fusion Energi, Ford C-Max Energi, Cadillac CT6 PHEV, 2016 Tesla Model X P90D, 2018 Tesla Model X 100 Long Range+, a 2019 Chevy Volt Premium, and a 2021 Tesla Model Y Long Range. The iX M60 easily beats all of those prior vehicles, and the xDrive50 is on par with or beats them too.

Sure, we have some quibbles, like not having an adjustable headrest like the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV or a surround-view DashCam saved to USB like all Teslas have, but they're not enough of a bummer to dissuade us from getting an iX.

I had a reservation for a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq AWD, but after driving one it was somewhat of a let-down. (That and the fact that Cadillac has turned into Tesla and can't seem to build them right the first time, requiring lots of dealership visits for initial repairs and updates.)

I also had reservations for a Rivian R1S and a Chevy Blazer EV, but I couldn't find any way to test drive the Rivian, the Chevy doesn't really exist yet, and neither vehicle has Apple CarPlay, so I cancelled them along with the Lyriq.

A big reason for cancelling those reservations was the test drive I took of the BMW iX xDrive50 and iX M60. Both variants were easily the best EVs I've ever driven and my wife was sold too. She's definitely replacing her Model X with an M60, and I'll probably replace my Model Y with an xDrive50. We're waiting for the 2024 MY to start arriving since we want the new hands-free highway driving feature. It'd be nice if the 2024s had a bit more range, but that's just another minor negative that we can easily overlook.

I don't understand why every Tesla owner isn't flocking to BMW to replace their Model X or Y with a BMW iX. Granted, BMW doesn't have Full Self Driving, Fart Mode, a giant screen, 0-60 in less than three seconds, built-in DashCam, and some other Tesla-only features; but the BMW also doesn't have a stupid Yoke with no stalks; doesn't have any rattles, squeaks, or wind noise; and doesn't have Elon Musk putting a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Sure, the recent Tesla price drops have put pressure on all EVs (which is a good thing!), but I still think the M60 is still good value for the price when compared to a similarly-equipped Model X.

Oh, and Tesla's sound system doesn't even come close to the spectacular Bowers & Wilkins sound system in the M60! (I'm not sure I've heard a sound system like that in any car, quite frankly!)

Hey IAC, does that 10% off MSRP include the $7.5k EV lease incentive? Or can that be added as well?
Because it’s the wrong price point at the wrong time.

Even Tesla has to heavily discount the Model X.

One main target demographic (well paid tech engineers) is in the news all the time getting laid off by the hundreds of thousands and more traditionally financially conservative people that can spend $100k on an electric SUV are going to think twice before buying one that relies on EA.

I (tech employee, still employed) just bought an iX M60 but only because my specific life circumstances are “life is short”, may as well enjoy it.

If I had to be financially more prudent (eg plan on getting kids through college or just bought a house), I would not have done it given the tech layoff risk.

10% off BEFORE the $7,500 EV lease credit.

And yet those same people seem quite happy to drop $95k-$132k on a Model X. I don't get it. The BMW is better, costs a little less apples-to-apples, and is available. Yet all the business seems to be going to Tesla, Audi, Ford, and Kia where cars aren't available for months at a time.

BTW, what is "EA"? Is that some shorthand for 'tech engineer'? Thx.

Damn, bummer! The wife just got one - 4% off + $7,500. That extra 6% would have been great!
Just came across this conversation. We're getting ready to pull the trigger on iX. Trying to decide between a 2023 and waiting for a 2024. Ready to lease a 2023 if it's got all the options I want. Premium with driver assistance and would prefer Mocha interior. You got anything like that in stock and available?

I do have some stuff that is close to exactly what you want! 8-10% off MSRP before the $7,500 credit.

I will PM you, but for the fastest reply, feel free to text/call 516-416-5481, or email [email protected]

Didn't the $7500 credit go away a few days ago?

Edit: added link Only six EVs still qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit after new rules go into effect
No, still applies on the lease, because the mechanism by which these cars get a $7,500 credit is different from that credit. These get it under a different rule for commercially owned vehicles, which technically leased cars are (owned by BMWFS).

That's good to know!
Hi Scott and Chris, sent you guys an email today. I'm in Los Angeles and looking for a '24 iX50. Do you guys work in this market, and if so, can you comment on current incentives/deals? Is the $7500 credit still available, or is that gone? Many thanks!

Hey! I didn't see an email come thru, can you please forward again to [email protected]

We don't have a dealer in that market, but we frequently ship there given how strong our deals are in other markets, it usually usually is a net savings of thousands even after shipping.

just about to order - but I wondered if anyone has any experience with Carwow or Beadles of Southend ?

Beadles is @ 65 miles from my home - but their offer is about £1500 cheaper than local LR dealer
Would use local dealer for servicing.

Will be ordering new HSE+ Black Roof+ Heated Steering Wheel
