Does anybody in this forum get contacted by BMW due to battery recall?

There is recent thread (started yesterday) on i4 forum regarding battery issue which looks like impacting i4s and iXs.
Some i4 owners has been informed yesterday to immediately stop using their cars and tow to dealer.

My M60 is due into Auckland next week so naturally one gets a bit nervous that it might be affected. Conveniently the BMW NZ recall site seems to be throwing an error but the BMW AU recall site (https://www.recall.bmw.com.au) works and says my vehicle is not affected by any recalls as of now.

Hopefully it stays that way and we're all set for delivery very soon.

Lucky me, I got an email and call Friday to tell me to stop driving my IX immediately and park far from any structures due to a chance of a “thermal event”. If you haven’t received any contact you are probably safe

My concern is with mine being at port and not knowing if it’ll be delayed or not. And not knowing if it’ll become more widespread.

if it gets delayed by 2 months, that’s around 2800 dollars total in additional finance charges if rates go up by 1%.

So, interestingly, I’m getting different results. On one of the bmw recall check sites I show not available.

on this one I show it available: BMW Safety Recalls: Manage Recall Notices

not sure what’s up here
Same for mine. So we can conclude that maybe there is a remedy. Or maybe not. :) I think I had concluded that already, without BMW's assistance....

Did you get any info what is going on?
Are you able to see it in BMW recall website?

I was told a couple of weeks ago all three on my iX, with the following defect codes:

0065800300 - Valet Module
0065780300 - Airbag Display
0061870600 - Charging Module

But following that, no additional updates. Will definitely be checking Monday....

Of course that is your concern. My reply was intended for people who already took delivery and paid for a car they may be afraid to drive and they may have to turn in.
