BMW App charging read out on an iPhone - not syncing

Check to see if you have lost connection to Cennect Drive. If you can not lock or unlock toyr car via your app you probably have. Reboot the car's software.

This has been an issue with our iX 50 ( in US) ever since taking it home one year ago today. Variable connection between the car and app despite both being in same WiFi environment. I will say it has never overridden the charging parameters in the car itself. Just bothersome to not have the correct info for the car on our phones at times. One would think BMW would have dealt with it by now. It is not a new problem with recent update.

I have been having issues with losing connectivity with Connect Drive since the resolution of the battery recall completed in November 2022. I have had 31 instances of losing and gaining connectivity since November. Until recently I have been able to restore it through reboot of software. That failed on the last loss of connectivity on June 8. IX at dealership now for last recall and hopefully getting this connectivity issue finally corrected.

You need to bring it back to the shop. There is some module that needs to be replaced. My car is currently in the shop with the same problem. I hope it will work after the module is reinstalled. They had to contact BMW of North America to figure out the issue. Good luck!

The dealership supposedly contacted BMW and opened a tsara case and was told there wasn't an issue because they could "ping" the car, but the car clearly shows No Server Connection!!!! My service advisor is taking it to her Forman.

Please let me know what module they replace on your ix and if that resolves the issue. Email me at Blockwod@bellsouth.net - Billy here.

They replaced the telematics communication box. I'll be picking up the car in a few hours and will let you know if the problem has been resolved.

May I ask, where are you in the US and who is your dealer. And if you wouldn't mind the name of your service advisor. Since my dealership in Fort Lauderdale is having so much trouble with BMW USA I thought that might help them get this issue resolved for me.

Same issue for me very annoying my EV charger app is not syncing with the car and BMW app not communicating correctly at all doesn’t even show that it’s charging. I’m relying on the EV charger app to check charge. Done all the resets and app deletion nothing has fixed it. I’m UK too.

I also am having the same issue. My iX 50 is saying that it's plugged in and charging. the last update was yesterday at 11:13pm. I've deleted, logged back in, and still nothing. I have also done the soft re-set. (USA)

I experienced the same thing last Wednesday but the next charge it synced

Anyone else experiencing this issue now in 2024? My BMW app for my iX50 (US) has stopped showing me when the car is charging and any battery/charging related info is stuck to the info from two days ago. Maybe it has to do with the solar eclipse tomorrow, screwed up BMW's software!

Yes as mentioned here, it appears to be everyone in North America. Hopefully it'll get fixed sometime Monday when the BMW software team gets back into the office.

I have had the same issue twice within the last six months, contacted BMW and the issue was resolved in a couple of days. This is totally unacceptable and I hope NMW find a permanent solution.
