One of the coolest things about the iX for me is the intelligent kidney grille

In order to protect the front camera and all the sensors, BMW has covered the grille with a special polyurethane coating that can self-heal and repair minor scratches. Within 24 hours at room temperature or through a 5 minute supply of warm air.
