My m60 order was placed on April 9 and it has been stuck in production begin phase until today. Literally moments after I called the BMW genius to check on the status my m60 order has been updated to entering exterior assembly. Based on the estimate I got from genius my m60 is projected to be completed by the end of May…which I don’t see it happening under current circumstances.
Interestingly enough, YouTube videos of m60 reviews are popping up around the same time my m60 received an update. BMW has not allowed the test drive video to come out until around end of May. Maybe BMW worry that if we soon to be owner of m60 will resent and grow more impatient if we see the m60s in the videos that were shot months earlier and we still patiently waiting…….

You should consider yourself lucky UK customers who ordered a M60 months before you have had their orders cancelled by BMW.
We have seen videos but not a single independant test (to my knowledge) - the 40/50 were given to journalists months before owners received theirs

There are plenty of M60 tests on YouTube today — all pretty positive — the embargo was obviously lifted.

Where are you located? I am in Louisiana and have had an order placed 3 months ago, but they say they have ‘no idea’ when it will go into production.

In New Jersey, maybe your particular dealer doesn’t have allocation for this summer’s slot? But yeah as far as I know my dealer is fairly prominent bmw dealer in NJ area and they literally have only got 2 m60 allocated to them so far

Currently, my vehicle shows as "Quality Check", so only a few more steps before its off to a port. Once the vehicle changes from "production begins", everything seems to be moving very quickly.

I am expecting that this will be delivered to east coast US sometime in early July.

Currently, my vehicle shows as "Quality Check", so only a few more steps before its off to a port. Once the vehicle changes from "production begins", everything seems to be moving very quickly.

I am expecting that this will be delivered to east coast US sometime in early July.

Finger cross that whatever part/parts they have been waiting for to finish the assembly of the iXs will become available soon…so far I know there has been some sort of part or parts (most likely standard part because it is affecting both 50 and m60) is in shortage and our cars are just dangling there in the dingolfing factory…and this particular location is quite known for Quality Check delays… seen someone on the other post that ordered different model but produced at the same factory has been waiting in Quality Check for months……..

How long was your M60 in quality check?

My M60 went thru from production begins to at the port from Memorial Day to the following Friday/Saturday. It was satisfying to see it move daily. I looked at shipping dates and what baffles me is they have a schedule but also say ships aren’t leaving until full. I believe I missed two ships leaving days apart. And there is now a 2 week lag til June 14th for the next to leave arriving in Baltimore July 14th. I hope it changes to In Transit before then to prove the schedule wrong

wow, where are you located and when was your m60 ordered? This is baffling me that some went straight through QC while other like myself stuck in QC with no answer whatsoever

Mine was order the same time and it has been stuck in QC for 10 days for m60 and 21days for 50. It was scheduled to completed production by May 30 and now it has been stuck and Genius can provide NOTHING

That is like right next to me in NJ and this is absolutely weird that some people got stuck and some like you luckily have sailed thru every steps

I called today about my iX50 completion date and the information I was given didn’t sound reassuring which is different than the information I got from genius for my iXM60 completion information. Depends on the person answering.

Guess what…I called today and got answer back that my m60 is actually built and waiting for carrier assignment. Guess myBMW web information can be incorrect at times and hopeful that is the case….

Awesome. Your 60 will be on the same ship as mine then. Unless website is wrong showing at port. I filled up my Acura today and realized my need for this EV. Lol. Over $5 a gallon. US dollars.

Try to call in for you m60 as well just press on and demand answer why someone else has the same build of m60 got moving along with no issue and yours has been stuck in QC, good luck!

Yes. There aren’t that many options outside of exterior color, interior color/material and tire/wheel size and type on 60.
