Fingers crossed that production goes smoothly. I haven't seen anything so far that would hint at any issues for BMW.

BMW seem to be managing supply chain well considering the shortages so fingers crossed.
Beginning of July. At least my dealer gave an impression that 50 will have a longer lead time. Looking at the order list on this site and the fact that 40 is not even sold in US there are probably much less orders for 40'sHi @Fin_IX, when did you order your iX?

And after that i have owned a Tesla Model S P100D a BMW i3s and a Tesla Model 3 (that i drive today). Now i have ordered a IX and an i4 m50 to replace the model 3 - i do not really like Tesla after all the visits to the workshop and the terrible customerservice.So i have only owned electric cars - i have driven fossil burners multiple times, but i do not like them. Electric is amazing, and i will never own a fossil car.

Still no news on my build slot. Although at Munich airport at the moment and they have one in red and looks pretty good…may need to change my colour choice. Hi all, I got my slot confirmed last week and put in my order for Storm Bay with Amido leather interior and darn near every bell and whistle, except for the super fancy (and super expensive) sound system, as I pretty much listen to audiobooks in my car and am not what you would call an audiophile. The dealer put in for a February 2022 build date, but he didn't know if that would come to pass.Anyone else had a build slot confirmed, my xdrive50 Msport is being built week 46 and arriving in the UK week 49

Today I received an update that build slot is week 49 for my xdrive40 order. I hope delivery will be around week 51 or week 52 (from Germany to Turkey). But this is only hope
I have (pre)ordered my wifes' in july 2021 in Belgium. IX 50 Mspot with Indivual Storm Bay and 22" wheels and full option (Bower & Wilkins included). At time or signing the PO, my sales told me that massage seat was not available for passenger so got i little discount. To be sure he put June 22 as delivery date. He informed me at the time of ordering that production of 50's was staring later than the 40's and it was not easy to predict delivery date. What I hear now is that production start on time and i have called my dealership where they informed me a slot is "requested" beginning of january...so hopefully the car is manufactured in january and that delivery will be february. Any experiences from other forum members?

I am quite impressed with the short delivery time. 2 weeks after production!!
My dealer is not informing me proactively (a pitty) so I have to chase him. Only thing I know is that prodution slot was requested for january 22 (when I pre ordered beginning of july...). I was quite quick with my pre order... I hear stories of small dealers only having 10 slots a year for the IX! (I ordered in quite a large one)... Happy driving, I am sure you will enjoy indeed!
