Wondering how long folks in Canada have been waiting for their iX?
I left a deposit last Aug directly with the dealer here in Southern ON and apparently they are yet to deliver a single iX with 4 reservations ahead of me.
My existing vehicle will need replacement in Nov and it does not even sound like I'll receive mine before the new year :(

When I ordered on June 15th in Quebec, the Sales Manager told me it will be at least 12 months before I get my iX. After signing the order, the SR said delivery period may extend to two years. In reality, they have no clues or guidelines from BMW Canada which is hybernating this summer. I am keeping my eyes open for other options such as MB EQS SUV and even Lucid, just in case I get earlier delivery.

Wow and I thought QC+BC had it better due to their provincial rebate (not sure if it’s applicable to the iX)

I ordered mine at the end of this May and it is scheduled for production in September. I expect delivery end of October / November.

It is a loaded M60. From what I understand BMW is prioritizing high spec cars for production first - which seems to be correct as my allocation was given way ahead of a huge waitlist for 50's. They are not even building base IX 40's until at least the end of the year.

Ordered in November, was built early July. It's now stuck at the port in Germany since then cause of a software upgrade/recall... I wasn't bothered too much but this weekend it kicked in. Polestar and Tesla can give good estimates when the car is to be delivered but BMW, that has decades (if not a century) more experience, can't? My first delivery estimate was April... I'm not happy anymore.

I first inquired on the iX as soon as it was released and reserved mine on Day 1 of reservations being opened (June 2nd 2021)and it's finally on a boat - expected arrival December 2nd and my dealership told me mid December for pick-up. I'm not impressed with my dealership as I know for a fact it was not a first come first serve production.

Hi all, my iX just got offloaded in Halifax yesterday. My SA mentioned today he is expecting it to arrive to the dealership and ready for pickup sometime next week. Any idea how long is the usual wait from Halifax to Toronto?

@S38 Looks like mine might be waiting like yours. My production date was Oct 21, 2022. Next ship from Bremerhaven that I can see, leaves on November 14 and arrives in Halifax on Nov 26th - Asian Captain. Not sure if BMW uses other carriers but I've not been able to find any other than WW.

Check out his brilliant post by @sonia_shoeb (thank you again!) to check if your vehicle made it onto a particular ship.

".......Hi everyone, I am able to track my iX on a ship that left Bremerhaven and is scheduled to arrive in Halifax on Nov 5th. The shipping company is Wallenius Wilhelmsen. If you go to track and trace on the website(Track and trace - Cargo tracking - Wallenius Wilhelmsen) you can type the BOL number. Usually takes a few days for the BOL to be available once the ship sails.

My BOL number is AEA24303. If you type that all the VINs of the loaded vehicles pop up and you can search your VIN there.

This is how you can figure out the BOL number:

All ships coming to North America starts with “A
The next 5 letters are the vessel number (you can find this info on the WW website under schedules. My ship is Asian Vision with a vessel no EA243)
The last 2 digits are destination so for USA is “01” at the end and for Halifax is “03” at the end

so if you add all that together you get
A + EA243 + 03 (for Halifax)
A + EA243 + 01 (for US)

Once you have the BOL number and confirmation that your vehicle is on the ship then you can track the ship live on the ocean via the following website.

Live AIS Vessel Tracker with Ship and Port Database (you can create a free account and track your ship live)

try and see if it works for your vehicle. Mine is docking in Halifax on Nov 5th. The dealership told me sometimes they bring over the vehicles from Halifax via truck all the way to Toronto. apparently it’s more expensive but is super fast and reaches Toronto in a day. I’ll keep you all updated if I get any additional info.

hope this helps ......".

That seems reasonable. They may need to do some prep work before releasing the car to the trucking company or putting it on a train. My SA mentioned that he won't have an exact date of arrival at the dealership until the car reaches the railyard in Concorde. Still waiting for it to leave the dock in Bremerhaven so I've still got at least 2-3 more weeks of waiting. The countdown is on for you though.

Congrats!

Someone buy @S38 and @sonia_shoeb a case of beer or wine (their choice). I used these instructions and found that my M60 landed in Halfiax yesterday 🥳
