Hello. I picked up my iX X50 today and couldn’t figure out why the car kept locking, unlocking and beeping in my garage. I’m assuming the key or my iPhone was too close to my garage and the car went into a lock/unlock loop. Has anyone else had this issue? I’ll keep the key much further away moving forward. Thanks!

My garage is joined to the house with internal access, if I walk down the passage close to the wall it can cause the car to unlock. I have disabled unlock on approach now.
I’ll keep the car key In another room and only bring my phone towards the garage entry when I’m ready to leave. It’s all a learning curve 😊

Although the iX seems to have a farther distance for when it considers you "away" than my X5. I can walk around the iX without triggering a lock pretty reliably, where just going to the back of the car in the X5 resulting in locking/unlocking.

This is why I haven’t set up digital key. I park the car under a 30x 50 cover next to my barn about 100 ft from the house(garage is reserved for our C7 corvette and my R1250GS). I only have the car key with me if I am getting in the car, but I always have my phone on me and don’t want to lock and unlock the car every time I walk by.

One option you can choose is to only have the driver door unlock when approaching. Thats what I have set. When you do that the car will acknowledge (with lights) as you approach, however, when you approach the passenger side, nothing will unlock unless you actually touch the handle....This may stop the constantly lock, unlock feature
