Deleted lumbar support?

Hi all, first post here.
i ordered my car a week back, given a 6 weeks build ‘ delivery date (Pretty impressive I thought).

I added the comfort pack as I wanted the keyless entry system.
this pack comes with the massage seat which I think is driver side only?
i noticed that adding this option auto selects the ‘ deleted lumbar support passenger side’ option.
my dealer couldn’t answer why adding equipment to the driver side decreases the functionality of the passenger seat.

can anyone here help out/suggest reasoning for this?

Is this an ix40 or an ix50? I have just had my 50 pushed back to July(from end-March).
I think that the massage option uses the lumbar support mechanism, so deleting the lumbar option on the passenger side would delete the massage ability. I have the same on my spec sheet and I have to say, I was hoping for it to be re-instated by May, because I don't think my other half would be very impressed if I have a massage en-route and she doesn't. I read the reason for the deletion is chip/supply shortage, but seriously?
Deletion of massage for passenger side is all around the world, from my experience also same in Turkey.

I object in principle to buying an upgrade option and getting physically less delivered than the 'basic' spec

In some other BMW models, there is no even touchscreen function on infotainment display. I hope these shortage issues get resolved soon..
Yes lumbar support isn't offered for the passenger side due to chip shortage. So I am not ordering until this is sorted.
