I am in the US and I believe the option just popped into our Connected Drive Store in the last day or so. Anyone who purchased their car with the Driving Assistant Professional Package should already have this feature enabled.
You can go to the Connected Drive Store in the Apps section in your BMW. It was available for a monthly subscription or a one-time purchase of I believe ~$900 US. I choose a 3-month free trial to make sure it does what I need. If it does, I will plan to purchase it.
We couldn't believe Active Cruise Control wasn't standard either!
We have a 2014 Subaru Outback that has that! When we bought our car, there was not very robust information on what each of the packages provided and what was standard. From reading through this forum, there was a good group of us who wanted Active Cruise Control but not all the other autonomous driving functionality but couldn't get straight answers on whether that particular functionality was standard. We only knew for sure we weren't getting ACC when we picked up the car. (We also had a really lousy dealership). Anyway, this was the one feature from the DAPP package we actually cared about so were very hopeful it would be made available as a Feature on Demand.May I know you update version ? Mine still says "Activating..." in the ConnectedDrive store, but I was able to turn on distance control (i.e. active cruise control) and lane keeping (auto-steer) on a short test drive!
May I know your software version ? Is 07/2022/33 ?
