Agree...you need just your production number followed by car year. Its your productino number - car year. Worked like a charm for me. The instructions attached above are what I followed.
Its a 7 digit number. Mine starts with the number 7. It may be on quotes or build sheets if the dealer sent you anything before you bought it. You can also call a BMW Genius and they can provide it.Is the production number something I can find on my own? I bought a iX that was a cancelled order. I have emailed the dealership as well.
Brilliant. It is on what they sent me as the build sheet. Thank you, all!Its a 7 digit number. Mine starts with the number 7. It may be on quotes or build sheets if the dealer sent you anything before you bought it.
Ocflyer, did resetting your VIN work?I called again. The rep said they need to "reset my VIN", after BMW verified I owned the car. She said they should finish that in "a day or 2". Thank you @Kachook
yes. I had a $0 EA balance, because I was burning down 1,000 kWh of free charging with my previous e-Tron. I noticed after the VIN was reset, EA charged me $10 to "fund" my account and then I could charge.Ocflyer, did resetting your VIN work?
