I've specced my car and submitted my order at the dealer. It's 2 months until it's here.

However, I emailed today to ask if it's possible to add rear badge delete at the factory, to remove the iX on the left and the xdrive 40 on the right. Dealer says it's not an option that is offered on their system probably because the emergency services would need to identify an EV in the event of attending to an incident.

I guess I'll leave the badges on, even after it arrives.

Don't know about the legality, but they're easily removed with a heat gun and dental floss or fishing line. I'd be inclined to leave the EV designations on, however, for reasons above.
Its very much a German thing though was offered in the UK in the past - some UK owners have removed their M60 boot badges, 40, 50 or M60 no body diffrences
I could see some owners putting on M60 badges but somehow I don't think a typical iX owner would. I doubt you would be able to purchase badges without proof you owned that model. My M3 CSL you could not buy any model related spares unless you owned one

@ICS_UK If I was 18 years old, I probably would be removing the 40 badge from my car and putting a M60 badge on. Good thing I'm older and wiser now!
