Drove ~240 miles today in my M60 and was very pleased to get ~3 miles/kwhr or right around 310-320 miles per charge even with the 22” wheels. Speed was consistently 50-75 mph with a modest amount of stop and go driving. I’ll be making the reverse trip on Monday and will see if I get similar performance. I don’t expect to be a lot of long trips with the car but it’s good to know that the range is a bit better than advertised especially since there was limited level 3 charging between home (Myrtle Beach, SC) and my daughter’s home outside of Greensboro, NC.

Return trip completed today. Total miles driven was ~550 (most being highway driving). Averaged 2.9 miles/kwhr. Charged up to 80% this morning and drove just over 200 miles. Got home with 26% remaining charge and 100 miles of range.
I just completed 310 mile trip from Vegas to SoCal, up and down mountains. Set on Efficient, auto cruse at 5mph above speed limit, 68F A/C, no major delays, virtually all highway except start (3 miles) and end (5 miles). Average of 3.4 mi/kW in iX 50 with 21” wheels.
I’ll post return in few days.

PS auto drive is great, especially when in stop & go traffic jams

I do Vegas/LA every 2 weeks and honestly can't imagine sitting at 5mph above the 70mph speed limit for 3.5 hours. I'm always at the "speed of traffic" if you know what I mean, which honestly gets me down to 2.4-2.6mi/kWh especially in wind and 100F+ weather with A/C. This is same with OEM 21" wheels. I actually don't mind it as I enjoy that Baker EA stop which is 170 miles out from home and gets me into Vegas with 40%+.

What was the remaining charge for you going straight through? I feel like the SoCal <-> Vegas trip will be a significant of our long range and Baker always seemed to be the preferred stop but interesting what the remaining charge is if you need to go straight through.

I ended up with 8% left.
I didn’t mean to imply I was able to maintain speed limit plus 5, that is what I set max speed. The trip was one of the better ones as only a couple of slow downs at lane addition construction and one other slow down due to traffic. Much easier than normal.
Previous trip I did stop at Baker (was date of power emergency and only one charger was operational). That trip was “at speed” and lots of stop/go traffic. If couldn’t have eventually gotten some charge at Baker (only worked for 10 minutes) I would have been about 25 miles short.

Here is some data for a recent Orange County to Carmel and back trip. Main takeaway (for me)- over 75 MPH really decreases range. Oh well

9/17/22 to 9/21/22
OC - > Los Alamos via 101
185 miles, average 75 MPH
3.1 mi / kWh

Los Alamos - > Carmel Valley
195 miles, average 80 MPH
2.6 mi / kWh

return via Interstate 5

Carmel - > Lost Hills
163 miles, average 82 MPH
2.5 mi / kWh

Lost Hills - > OC
176 miles, average 50 MPH ? (due to 2 hours of stop and go through LA)
2.9 mi / kWh
