I saw my car today but did not take delivery (long story). I thought I ordered it with heated rear seats or I though it came with them, but there were no controls for them on the rear climate controls. The person showing me the car (not my salesman, who is on vacation) thought that they may not have been added due to chip shortage. Any one have any more insight?

I believe heated rear seats is part of the Radiant Heating package / add-on. Did you spec that?

I seem to remember that it was a stand-alone option that I did choose. Unfortunately, the Build feature at BMW.com has been updated with the 2023 option packages, so I can't go back and check.

While not in the same region we often get cars with a few more base options than the US as standard, however rear heated seats and ventilated seats where only ever offered as part of the Comfort Package for 2022 build cars here. My car for example does not have them for that reason I had no use for the full radiant heat pack and could not choose them as a standalone option.

Sorry to hear this means you refused to car lets hope they can source another one as the current 2023 builds seem extremely restrictive from what I have seen at least here they are.

Oh, I didn't refuse it - I don't sit in the back seat, so while they would be nice to have, they're not critical.

I have the US Retail Pricing Guide for 2022 models and it doesn't have heated rear seats as a standalone option. Just the Radiant Heating Package 4HC as an option for $950.
