How to rearrange app icons on Apple CarPlay display

Can someone please show me how to rearrange app icons on Apple CarPlay display on the instrumental screen?

Also, the screen really attracts lots of speck of dirt. Is there a screen cover that I can put on to eliminate it?

CarPlay is coming directly from your phone, so you must do it in the CarPlay settings on your phone. Go to Settings > General > CarPlay > [car name] > Home Screen Icons.

A screen cover will probably attract just as much dust and dirt. I keep screen wipes and a microfiber towel in the cabin.
