Yesterday after a 2 hour journey which commenced with passive door unlock via an iPhone 13 Pro Max, the car LOCKED the iPhone inside the car when the rear driver's side door was closed.

Yesterday after a 2 hour journey which commenced with passive door unlock via an iPhone 13 Pro Max, the car LOCKED the iPhone inside the car when the rear driver's side door was closed.

I gave up on the iphone auto lock unlock jsut have it in myWallet and can manually lock/unlock the car/boot etc.

So BMW reckon this is a big deal and are following it up formally... after all its about what they market as an advanced convenience function...

You say you have lock/unlock in your wallet ??? (passive lock settings are in two places now - the car and wallet) I never use the wallet buttons - they are harder to use than a physical key. I think passive is BRILL under specific circumstances when I enable it...

UPDATE: As of 12th September 2022, this issue is as yet unresolved (8 days after the car was collected by BMW Roadside Assistance and taken to Dick Lovett BMW, Swindon, Wilts., UK). And to top this off, BMW Roadside Assistance have been unable to provide me with a replacement vehicle via their top tier supplier : LCH Ltd. LCH aren't even able to say when...
