Anyone experiencing issues with Active Driving Assistance feature? Option is disabled on my car. It was working sometime back. When I press Modes button on the steering wheel, I get a message "No Function Available". Wondering if BWM disabled the feature remotely with a software update.

Hi which version of the iDrive software do you have? I recently had my car in for a recall in the UK and during the recall they applied the latest OS update which was July 22.

On driving the car home driver assistance also seemed to have vanished and the mode button would only let me select speed limit, heads up display also wasn't functioning with anything but basic info, no satnav etc nor was the dual display for apple maps in car play.

After driving for about an hour everything just started working again, not sure whether bmw does some sort of online check for features for the vehicle then enables once complete or whether the OS had to discover the features of the car itself. Its been fine since.

I observed the same as you. Lost the feature before July 2022 upgrade. It was fine after the upgrade. Seems to have lost it again a week back. Not sure if BMW does any update at the background. When I asked service guy at the time of upgrade on the issue and what was done for fix the issue, he said he had to clear some memory and reset. I have to waite and see if issue gets fixed in the background. Wondering if anyone else is seeing the same issue after upgrade.

I got the same issue when received my new iX 2 weeks ago, go to the service and they reset the software, issue fixed. The service center said the new software update to fix the 2 recalls (airbag etc.) is immature, and has bugso_O

I took my IX in for 2 recalls. I got it back with the entire driver assistance package unavailable. It's been in the shop nearly 2 weeks! Longer than I've been able to drive it. I'm thinking the software was not ready for launch....

I got my IX back in April and purposely waited 4 months to have the recall stuff fixed because I knew they were not going to be prepared to do it quickly. Before I made the appointment last week, I asked the service manager if they were able to get this done in one day, and if they have done others prior to mine. They said yes. They were able to fix the recall, and update the software the same day. The update is pretty cool and provides some new features (like precondition now- when turning off the car)

I finally got the car back after 2 weeks. BMW said they recalibrated the cameras. Now I have a (third) new problem. The screen has a darkened area at the top. Has anyone else seen this?
