Hi.

First post since joining and I think I’ve used the search correctly and come up blank.

I notice that a lot of reviews and the ev database have the iX 40 with a 71 kW useable battery, but the BMW site has it as 74kW.

Does anyone know why the difference?

Original iX40 was 71kW as originally shown on the BMW site. Recently that has changed on the site to 74kW. Some have suggested that BMW have adjusted the usable battery on the new builds and that one of the software updates may have given older 40’s a bit more too, but I have not noticed any difference in range so far following a number of dealer software updates and a couple of OTA’s.
