Hi everyone,

So I called my current insurance, Allstate Canada, to get a quote for my upcoming iX. Premium isn't too bad compare to my current ride. But I was told that any cars with a purchase price over $100k CAD including tax is considered a high value vehicle, and thus the minimum deductible will be $5k for collision and comprehensive. 😅 Anyone here have heard of or experienced this? Is there anyone with a "high value vehicle" 😂 and using Allstate Canada? Is the deductible really $5k?

I had the same issue with AAA insurance in the US, but none of the other carriers that I got quotes from did that. I'd recommend shopping around a little more.
Farmers, State Farm, Progressive, The Hartford, and Allstate have normal deductible options.
