What’s the best rate people have been able to get if they didn’t pre order the car here in America? I see bmw is offering around 4% right now. Credit union rates are not as great as they use to be.

NFCU is still just 2.8%.
I would have gone navy fed but my local dealer has had issues with their pre approval checks in the past evidently. I was going to have to have NFCU rerun my credit so they could reconfigure the loan to deposit right in my account and I worry something in the process will go screwy.

going with a local bank that my current loan is through. They’re giving me .03% higher than navy fed on 72 months (3.32 vs 3.29).Their rates aren’t quite as similar at 48 or 60 though, being .3 or so higher instead of .03, but the slight increase will be beneficial if inflation continues this year at the rate it has been going at, given that my employer tends to adjust wages to keep with inflation.

Hmm. They only offered me 5.0 I have very good credit as well
I'm not sure when you applied, but last month (july) official rate "for well qualified" buyers was 3.99 per BMW website. The dealer sold me the tire and wheel package, but kept the payment "the same" so i got the 1.9%, but added the cost of the tire and wheel package. which, by the way, is cancelable within 60 days...

I never asked/applied for the 1.9% offer (planned to just do NavyFed). The dealer just freely offered it to any preorder (from any date) at closing, so I took it. It seems they can be pretty flexible in offering it to people (but some dealers are probably just pocketing the extra rate).
