I was checking our order and it says it includes the following "3DZ Without Additional Designation Outside". In searching the interwebs it says that this is an note designating that the M60 logo is removed from the car. M60 owners - did your build sheets say the same and, if so, did yours have the M or nah?

Thanks all for any help you can offer!

In the US the "M" badges, both for "M Sport" and "M," are removed from the front quarter panels, right and left, for all models. The rear emblems remain. For reasons known only to BMW - it certainly can't be regulatory. There are options historically to purchase OEM or aftermarket badges and put them back, but why the colonials have to do this remains a mystery.

That is what I heard in multiple posts, but not all in one post together. Thanks for this reply. This is exactly what I needed.

FWIW, we did that to our X5 MSport models and it's very easy (emblems have double-sided "permanent" tape on the back). The trick is finding the exact OEM measurements for where they go, and haven't seen that yet for the M60.

No measurements yet, but it looks like it is the same distance down from the top fender line as the door handles, and about the distance from the fender edge of the size of the logo itself:
