iX stuck in Production for a month?

Has anyone's iX stuck in production close to a month? Mine was put into status "Production Started" on 4/7. And it hasn't move since. When I called the Genius line, was told the car won't finish until 6/2, is that even normal? 2 months to build an iX? Very strange. I hope there is nothing wrong with my order.

Mine is stuck in similar way since 3/14. It's pretty normal for IX to be in this 'Production Started' status for weeks. I guess, they are freezing further changes to the order by changing the status, even though they are not actually putting the car in production.

I checked the status few minutes back and it is showing 'in paint booth'.
been in production begins since March 23. According to genius should be finished by May 6. Just switched to exterior body assembly begins this afternoon. Sounds like they just don't update that often.

Mine went into production on 3/31 and it still shows status 150 "In Production". I emailed my sales advisor and he send me this information. Completion by May 17th, arrival at dealer about 6-7 weeks later (West Coast USA). So it looks like they have a bit more info that is on the BMW owners tracking site.
Mine is dispatched from Factory status (4 more steps to go). I ordered June 4th. Mine has the dark grey paint, so no special paint for mine, maybe that’s why it’s on the move.

Meanwhile, my i4 M50 ordered July 20th doesn’t even have a production number. Dealer has been no help with either car.

Crazy times we live in
IMO there's nothing wrong with your order. Apparently it's quite normal with BMWs.
mine just went to dispatched from factory.
And to alleviate further anxiety as your orders progress... Mine was on a ship to California and My Garage said it was "in transit". Then when it got to California on May 1st, it went back to saying "at the port". It's on a truck to AZ now and expected to arrive at the dealership tomorrow but for some reason still says at the port..

Mine is showing 'At the Port' today. They put it in 'Production Started' on 3/14, but actual production was initiated last week. It is now at the port within a week after completing 10 steps including carrier assignment and dispath from the factory.
mine now says at the port as well. production started on 3/23. Same as above in terms of everything happening in the lat week. Wonder how long it will take to get onto a ship? I have seen anywhere from next day to a couple of weeks.
I believe the Arc Integrity will be leaving Bremerhaven May 22nd. Our iX’s should be on it.
that is a long time. Wont that vary if east vs west coast- assume its not the same?
After 6 weeks mine finally went from "Production Started" to "Exterior Body Assembly begins". Yippie.

It’s doing the East coast deliveries final stop in Georgia. They could change the schedule but that what it show at this time
got it. I'm west coast so will be different ship. How did you find about the ship, did genius know?

No genius didn’t know. I saw on some forum (can’t remember which one) that BMW uses ArcShipping.com to transport their vehicles. If you go to their website, you will see the schedules for the East and South to Texas.I’m not sure where the West coast schedule is.
