For west coast deliveries, the shipping company's website (NYK Lines) is http://www2.nykline.com/home/index.html. You can also use dbh Logistics IT AG | dbh Logistics IT AG
to track the departure of your ship from Bremerhaven to Port Hueneme. Apparently NYK Line doesn't make it easy to find your ship. After that, if you want to know when your ship is planning to dock in San Diego, San Diego Marine Information Systems will give you the arrival schedule for Port Hueneme (west coast delivery) at
http://www.sdmis.org/schedule/.

No genius didn’t know. I saw on some forum (can’t remember which one) that BMW uses ArcShipping.com to transport their vehicles. If you go to their website, you will see the schedules for the East and South to Texas.I’m not sure where the West coast schedule is.
Thanks. Seems we can expect our vehicles in respective dealerships around June 20.

For some reference for the west coast U.S. folks, ours got unloaded off the ship near Oxnard, CA on May 1st and arrived at our dealership in AZ on May 11th. Seems like a while but I'm not sure how all that works. But hopefully that gives you all a frame of reference for anticipated timing. Picked ours up yesterday!

How long did the journey take once it left the factory. Mine is in quality check today and I am hoping that it will leave the factory next week to head to the port, where it will probably sit for a while. I am getting anxious and am looking to upgrade my current EV to the iX.

My 2023 iX timeline is much like others, with some dramatic pauses.

July 6 - production begins
July 11 - scheduled for production>production begins>exterior body assembly begins >in the paint booth
July 12 - entering assembly line
July 13 - assembly in progress >quality check
Aug 4 - final assembly> ready for transport> awaiting carrier assignment> dispatched from factory
Aug 5 - at the port, still @ the port with no assigned ship as of 8/21

Only 3 statuses left...
  • in transit
  • at dealership
  • in my hands...

22 days in Quality Check coincided with the battery recall ( which was to a small number of iXs). I don't know for sure if that was the real reason. There are any number of components that might be supply chain issues which don't affect building 99% of the car so they move ahead rather than waiting.

Now based on some of the shipping info in this thread, it does not appear that Arc Shipping arrives at Bremerhaven until 8/29, so I might be at the port for 25 days or so, and then in transit until 9/19(Brunswick), and then however long it takes from Brunswick to Sarasota(we're close, so it should not be too excessive, but who knows). I was thinking Octoberish when I found out I was starting production, and that may come true.

As no particular point of reference, it took over 7 months from my order to the car being released to carrier from the US port. Still waiting for delivery to the dealer. Others have reported waits coming up on a year. And others have been considerably faster. It depends.
