I have been checking orders and comments in general but couldn’t see the tyre selections much.

How is your preference? And why?

I found 22” tyres a bit aggressive and large.

My tire selection is 21" 1010 Bicolour (I assume it is Front / Rear: 21x9.0, 255/50 R21) and looks as follows:

I went for 22" wheels, hoping that they don't adversely affect ride (I recall reading a review that said that ride was very good with the larger wheels), and I thought that the dimensions of the vehicle could handle the larger wheel as well. I had an M5 some years back with really nice wheels that were something like $2500/ corner, and the dealer convinced me to pay some exorbitant fee to insure them if they got dinged. But, the parking cameras had just advanced so much that I managed to not damage the wheels, and haven't had that unpleasant experience of grinding a wheel against a curb since. Also, it seems that it is much less expensive to repair a wheel now than it used to be, so perhaps less of a worry for some.

I went with the 22” to get the wider 275 tyres I may regret the lower profile with kerbs
I configured my iX with the Sport package with 21 in wheels, to avoid wheel rash from low profile tires. I had low profile tires on my 2012 X5 and had to have the wheels repaired a few times. Love the look of low profile tires though.

I pre-ordered my iX xDrive50 with the 21"wheels (Sport Package) with all-season tires because of the climate that I live in. We just had almost 8 inches of snow a week ago. I would have loved the 22" tires but the tires are for summer use only. I had two sets of tires for my 2012 X5, which became a hassle after about 2 years, so I switched to all-season then. The 2022 iX50 that I saw last fall at an EV show, had the 22"wheels and it looks great! My current 2020 X5 has 21"wheels and all season tires and they work out just fine.
