Whilst waiting for my IX50 to arrive, I thinking about the lack of spare wheel / tyre (amongst other things) .. I wondered .. does the IX come with a jack? I see the manual refers to the jacking points (wow, that must be a heavy lift with those batteries), but it's not clear whether a jack is included.

The reason I ask is that I am considering buying a spare wheel and tyre and keeping it at home because I don't want to be off the road for too long waiting to get replacement tyre in the event of a flat. I could get a full sized wheel / spare. However, has anyone looked and/or found lightweight and low speed spare wheels? I note that there are some aftermarket options for Ioniq 5 for instance. Of course that only helps if any flat is relatively close to where the spare is stored.

I/we don't get flats that often, but they do happen. It would annoying to have to get a tow-truck and then even more painful having to wait weeks for a replacement tyre.

Any other options? Did I see the M60 has run-flats, or was that an illusion ...

That was an illusion. None of the iX models come with OEM RFT.
