In response to or request for a BMW iX M50, our dealer responded with a cancellation a couple of weeks ago with everything I would have ordered, except the color (white). They priced it at MSRP. It was supposed to arrive at Port Newark yesterday but the dealer said there was a stop order on all iXs in the US until a software upgrade was applied. They had no expected date for it to be applied and said they were not even allowed to drive the iX they had at the dealership. Another post mentioned an air bag issue. A stop order sounds worse than a normal recall. Does anyone have details on the specifics? I could understand that a new car could not leave the dealer's lot until a software update was applied, but holding all cars at the port seems to be pretty extreme.

Software updates have been applied. We picked up our iX yesterday. Interesting car. Regenerative braking is designed very well. For running errands around town, estimated range is on the order of 375 mi
