Finally got my M60 Dec 8th and decided to add a few things.

The first thing was adding 2" adjustable convex blind spot mirrors.
I like to see what's in my blind spot and have been using blindspot mirrors for 40 years.
I turned off the lane departure assistance because it kept vibrating the steering wheel every 30 seconds at 70 mph.

Although I almost always wear my seatbelt on the public roads there are times aound my properties it can be annoying.
Since you can't turn off the chime in the menu I added a seatbelt extender to turn it off.

I added a cup holder since I don't like the oem cupholder location

Hooked my V1 Radar detector to the console ACC port for now.

Eventually I'll hard wire it to the fuse panel here

Using an Add a Fuse

I also sloped the front plate down so it reflects radar and laser towards the ground.

Where did you get the cup holder? I have ordered 1 or 2 and they do not work. I returned them.

Amazon
I drilled a hole and with a 2 inch space tied it off with some wire to the seatbelt buckle after my coffee cup went flying during a hard stop.

I also added a blue led I plugged into an ACC splitter for night driving to make it easy to put the cup back without fiddling about.

I got this urethane one on ebay and made it work

I used some thin checker plate from Home Depot

No good quality skirts were available except these craptastic 3 piece plastic ones from China

I re enforced them with some 3/4 abs waterpipe

Well how kind of you

Most BMW owners lease their cars or finance them and have no handi skills so modding their car is not something they would or could do.
My grille mod is completely removable as are the skirts and IMO the car looks better with the black parts painted the color of the car.

I was also not impressed with the B&W system with the meager under seat subs and no tweeters up on the dash for depth so I added 2x 12s and tweeters.

Now I've decided to add Midranges and an AL Priority Laser Jammer

Line Converter and Amp for Midranges

Midranges

Level Controls and Jammer kill switch

Going to move the Control Module to here.

I also redid the woodgrain console with CF Wrap.

I'll try but last time I did a vid on a stereo it didn't come out well on You tube.
The subs are like an Earthquake when the car turns on and does it's opening notes .
The compression is just awesome shaking your body :ROFLMAO:

They were impressed when I had the Airbag recall done.
That initial BMW greeting tune sounds like an earthquake
However car dealers don't give you any extra money for mods beyond a car's 2/3 retail value.
So it may have taken 50 hrs to build but would only take an afternoon to remove the stereo improvements
and bring it back to stock.
I could use the components on a new build but I tend to keep my cars a long time like 7-8 years.
Maybe if Toyota or others come out in 2-3 years with their solid state battery with a 700 mile range and 20 minute recharging I'll consider trading it in.
This awesome order of magnitude stereo improvement and adding laser jammers ( $5K+) is not something to do if you're leasing or going to trade the car in after 1 or 2 years
My other EV the Tesla Model S Plaid has better range and charges at 34 mph and is so awesome with it's face stretching instant 1000 ft/lbs of torque and 1020 hp it puts a huge smile on my face every time I let it go.
Its the next dragster level of performance.
You are King of the Road
