Anyone else have problems making the navigation system find addresses?

I can input an address but when it searches it can’t find it, or sometimes only finds points of interest with similar names.
I’ve tried restarting iDrive the standard way (volume long press for 30 sec) and in diagnostic mode (start three times, then volume long press) but neither worked.

My iX 50's sat nav went haywire the first time a really needed it, showed me as driving across fields, when I got to my destination it indicated that I was 8 miles to the Northeast of where I actually was. On the media side of things, it changes radio stations without any input from myself, and even switches to the music on the memory stick on occasions. When I tried to drive it today it refused to move, and a message flagged up indicating a drivetrain failure, the car has covered 1485 miles. I hate this vehicle and have ordered a new X5 M Sport 45e which is due to arrive with the dealership tomorrow, I owned one of the very first of these models and never had a problem with it. I traded my X5 M Competition Ultimate for the iX 50, big mistake!!!

Do you have the software upgrade that came out this summer (the one that enable the extra driving modes)? I had that applied by the dealer a couple weeks ago and it resolved most of my problems. No more CarPlay disconnects, no more "no audio source" errors and navigation seems to work all the time.

The only new issue I've noticed is that sometimes the "next turn" text doesn't appear in the HUD, but toggling between HUD modes seems to fix that.

Oh dear. I guess you're no longer on the forum but I am having serious regrets after 6 weeks of trading a perfect X40 M40d. I don't miss £4-500 of diesel a month admittedly but it'd probably be cheaper than the amount of money I'll lose if I trade out I'd this.
