Sorry - A little rant here.

I swear I have never tried so hard to spend $100K on a vehicle in my life. Ordered an IX50 Sport from my local BMW dealer, only to find out 3 months later they may be too small to get an allocation? Now I sit here realizing I should have gone to a larger dealer to place my order, and it appears it is too late for that at least for the 2022 model. Looking for available inventory is a complete joke since all the dealerships in the PNW list previously sold vehicles on their website as available. Talk about bait and switch. Perhaps I should just reinvest my cash back into my retirement account and keep driving my 8-year Hyundai. Given the current economic crisis in the US and all the features I see BMW deleting from these cars due to the chip crisis, maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Time will tell I guess. Now, what's that web address for Rivian again.........

We have had quite the opposite experiences. We probably have the smallest market BMW dealer in Canada. We bought an X5 45e off their lot last summer. Loved it but wanted more electric. 2 months ago we put a deposit on an IX40 that they had incoming but soon after, they had an i4 edrive 40 show up that a customer had ordered, but didn't want to wait for. So they sold us that for MSRP and we cancelled the IX40. The i4 is a good car, but wife wants an SUV for her daily driver. So they are taking it back in, and we will take the other IX40 they have coming in end of July. We have an order for an IX50 and will keep that as we do have range concerns on the IX40. But this will give us time to see if the IX40 is enough for us. And who knows how long the IX50 will take.

Same here (Wisconsin). Sold my M4 mid-may for $100K and decided to convert it to an iX50 - Just like you I called on every sold White Sport in the Midwest.. Now I'm about to pay $5K over MSRP for a unit that just started production - At least you have a car to drive - I'm driving a borrowed '73 Benz SLC that's not sure it wants to start daily.

Good luck on your search!
@dbailey hang in there, I received mine about 10 days ago. This car is INSANE. I can't stop thinking about it. My wife is also just blown by it. This is a whole new realm ... We are using it to replace a dying LR3 and that was a tall order . Far exceeds all our expectations. Wait for it, it is incredibly worth it. It is also a significant improvement over the Model Y for what it is worth. I think B<W of Honolulu has 2 apparently. Check it out... maybe you pick them up in Long Beach and drive home ... anyway. Just thought I should share my experience.

We live in a small island and the traffic rarely flows past 60 mi an hour, but we have 5000ft mountains, drove up to the forest twice during our first full charge and we are apparently getting about 400mi of range. I am not joking.

I am going to keep waiting, it's just very frustrating not hearing any updated info from the BMW dealership. I yearn for the days I could walk on a lot and my only problem was deciding on a color combination.

Good, like I said, I think it is well worth it… our LR3 gave out on us 3 years ago and we have been waiting for the right car since then… surviving on anlittle Prius (which was great but we have three dogs, carry surfboards, kayaks, canoes, on dirt roads, etc …but having it now feels really good, I treasure it and savour it that much more and never have I appreciated every material and component took so much.. the time it took BMW to develop and materialize it and is now in my garage …because of all the wait (i have been waiting for a Model Y, we rented one for a little bit actually… and placed deposits on other cars that never arrived…) it is almost magical man 😳 you’ll get there. Makes us appreciate the things we took for granted…availability
