My iX is coming later this month and my SA wrote me today to tell me of the same recall. He's prepping to have whatever they need for the recall ready for when mine arrives.

New stop sale?
Just got an email from SA saying that the iX I was picking up on Tuesday has a new stop sale for an airbag recall? This wasn't there when it arrived earlier in week and isn't showing up on the BMW VIN, so wondering if there is new action on the horizon. Anyone else have info on this?

My iX just arrived at the NJ port and it's stuck there as well. Dealer was hoping it could get shipped to them while they waited for the airbag but it's a no-go. They were told it was to be fixed at the VDC.
Awesome news and congrats. I spoke with my SA today (mine is in the NJ vdc) and his dealership received the airbags for the stop-sales on their lot. He's hoping its sooner than later in the NJ vdc.My sa sent email today that recall has been completed on my IX in baltimore vdc and it was released to shipper today and should be available for pickup in couple of days
So my ix50 has been stuck in the NJ port for a month now. I've been checking the BMW Recall website and it has said "Remedy Unavailable" every day when I check my VIN. I went to check today and it said "0 Open Recalls for your vehicle." Hopefully that now means the airbag is in and it will be shipped to the dealer soon. I'll keep you posted.
Well it looks like the BMW recall website was correct. My car has left the NJ port today and is "in transit" on the way to my dealership. Should be picking it up in a few days per my SA. I just picked up my ix50 today that was in the NJ port for about a month. If the website says 0 safety recalls, its a matter of a short time. Good luck everyone.
