I have an order in for an iX, and entered the details into mygarage a few weeks ago. I was happy to see the status was "Scheduled for Production". I called the Genius number and they confirmed May 23 was the scheduled week of production. Awesome!

I checked on the order earlier this week and noticed the status had reverted to "Order Received." I called the genius number after a couple days of waiting, and they checked and were showing it was scheduled for June 6. That said, the status is still "Order Received." Has anyone else had their order status go backwards? I know there are a bunch of happy people with M60 orders floating around. Has BMW inserted some M60 builds in front of M50 orders?

At the end of the day, I can't change it. Just curious if anyone else had a similar issue.

That could be due to the delay in production because of everything going around in the world these days. Did they give you any (official) reason for this yet?

When I called, I wasn’t given one. I asked specifically about production delays / parts shortages and was told that does not seem to be affecting output of the iX. Looking this morning and I’m still sitting at order received. I know the website can run a couple days behind reality, but given the genius line gave me a production week, I was really hoping the status would have updated on the site.

The timing of the status change is nearly the same as when some M60s suddenly went into production, so I’m wondering if that’s the root of it. Bummed it’s not updated yet, but nothing to be done. I’ll call mid-week if there’s still no status update. I felt 1,000 times better when it was in “scheduled for production”.

After calling Genius, ltest update is showing June 15 for end of production for my order. It's been in "Production Begins" since 4/27.
