Hi,
Today I got an alert in the BMW app about a planned SW upgrade related to the airbag warning light fault.
The OTA (RSU) will be implemented no later then 2022-06-10.

I'm really happy about this since I had a workshop visit planned for SW upgrade due to different SW bugs that I now can cancel.
This is the first RSU that I ever done, so its going to be interesting to learn how its done.
I'm in Sweden, driving an Ix40 on SW 11/2021.26

Hi, my update was done today as I had the attached fault keep coming up so booked the car in for that and they advised there was a recall re the airbag fault. Apparently the drive assistance fault I was getting was already part of the update for the airbag recall fault.
Although I could override the drive assistance fault I didn't have blind spot or collision assistance active so I would switch of the ignition, open the door and restart the car and most times the fault didn't occur until I started the car again but not every time.
Hope this helps if you experience the drive assistance fault.

Yes, the airbag "fix" will update all modules to the latest SW stand so I also expect other glitches from my early SW to be corrected.
Do I understand you right, you went to a workshop to get the SW update? Or did you get the OTA update?

Addressed before, but no. Nor have I heard of anyone else getting an update OTA - iD8 has been out almost 2 years, and by this time I had at least 4 updates in my X5 with iD7. Current version is reportedly 11/2022.25 - either an overabundance of caution, or of ineptness....

Apparently to go from 03/2022 to 07/2022, it has to be performed by the dealer due to the recalls.

BMW typically does OTA one release behind, so 11/2022 will be made available as an OTA sometime in early 2023.

Could be, although I went from 07/2022.33 (installed at the VPC) to 07/2022.45 with a dealer visit at my own request. Owners have reportedly had 11/2022.25 installed by their dealers, so 07/2022.45 should be available OTA right now, which it is not, or at least I haven't heard of it. It may well show up in 2023, or the latest version of 11/2022, but based on history I'm not holding my breath - if the logic was that they wouldn't release later versions of 07/2022 or 11/2022 because some cars still have 03/2022 on board, that won't change in 2023. I've seen BMW stall OTA releases before, mainly because they couldn't get their act together with reliable updates OTA, and I don't really expect that to change with the new iD8.
