I just got my IX 50 a couple of weeks ago fully loaded with options. I ordered it November 2021. Apparently, parking assistant plus was the only feature set offered at the time of pre-order, and does NOT have the stored maneuver capability (up to 10 moves?) that parking assistant pro has. I am suprised the flagship tech car from BMW would not include this capability. I spoke with iConcierge and they said it was coming on the 2023 model. Does any know if parking PLUS can be upgraded to PRO with software? Its also begs the question is there any place that actually describes in detail what you get with PRO vs. PLUS features for the IX whether active driving assist, parking, connected, or active guard?

Other than that my first impression of that car is great.

800 miles - no quirky issues at all.

Fantastic range about 15-20% better than advertised.

Supreme ride quality.

Cars looks way, way better in person outside and inside.

It scoots!

I am interested in the use cases for stored manoeuvres… my car has it, I want to use it, but need inspiration for some use cases
I have a very tight gateway to get into my home. In the ix I have about 4 inches clearance max on each side of the car, with the wing mirrors folded in. I'm hoping the manœuvre assist will take over the task of getting through the gate, but I suspect it will not operate in such constrained conditions.

I use it to park in the garage which is a tight fit due to two large cars. The nice thing is it seems you can start it anywhere along the recorded route. For example, I started recording before turning left onto the driveway, but it still prompts me if I’m already on the driveway.

I picked up a 2023 iX M60 on Aug. 18 with the Driving Assistance Professional Package. I have already stored several parking maneuvers. The one to park it in our garage is very tight and works perfectly.
Here is how it was listed on the order sheet. We live on NW Coast of U.S.

How were you able to record a parking maneuver in a tight garage? I started recording the maneuver but when I approach my garage it automatically disengages (I assume it thinks I am too close to the wall?) I literally have a couple of inches clearance on each side so it is very tight. I am afraid its a matter of time before me or my wife messes up and hits a mirror.

I have done a lot of searching on this topic. I was one of the first deliveries in the US. i got my car in early April. It was fully loaded but parking assist pro was not even an option at that point. However, videos were posted all over the internet for nearly 1 year before I received my IX showing the maneuver assist. It appears that as long as you have parking assist plus and comfort access, BMW is going to offer an over the air update at some point for this feature. It surprises me that it was not an option on the initial release, considering it was demoed all over the internet prior to release of the car

I also got one of the early cars, and to be honest I'm a little pissed that this wasn't included. A friend of mine got his 2023 and it was included. There was a press release from BMW that said that all 2022 models from March forward would have it, I got mine in June. BMW model update measures as of spring 2022.

What's the clearance you have in your garage please? A BMW dealer told me the manœuvre assistant would simply stop if the proximity sensors gave even the slightest warning.

Yeah, I saw that article too. I actually called BMW and although they can confirm anything, they also said its possible. I can't believe they would not include this feature as part of the release of the car. I would also find it hard to believe that if the car was fully loaded when picked up, that they would not offer this as some kind of upgrade in the future. I guess we have to wait and see

Can someone explain how the system even works? It sounds useless to me...

Does the system just memorize "forward 10', turn 30 degrees, forward 15', left 5 degrees, forward 5'" for example? If you approach the area you want to auto park but are, say, 2-3' to the left or right of when you recorded, does the system just repeat the recorded maneuver from that spot and then give you a proximity error when it's about to drive into a wall because it was 2-3' to the wrong side?

Are people putting tape marks on their driveways so the car is in the right spot to execute the recorded maneuver? Seems like a lot of hassle with a huge chance of failure. Or is the system smarter or more useful than I'm giving it credit for?

Hello, minimum clearance is about 30cm each side with extended mirrors and down to 10-15cm with folded mirror. All of this comes with a 5cm estimation error by the vehicle so you can be more or less lucky in your trials Nevertheless, replay is really accurate so it solves my issue of entering a realtive narrow garage after a 90° curve -)
