Was curious if anybody had an update as to when we’ll get access to the Parking Assistant Professional update (for those that purchased the car with Parking Assistant Plus). This update has the advanced parking maneuvers that I’ve seen BMW demo. Hoping for any news on this, thanks!

Always prudent to wait for the second year models for something very new like the IX - first year releases are mostly incomplete / deficient like this and u end up being the Guinea pig 🐷

My M60 has Parking assistant Pro...it works really well, we've programmed a routine to exit the garage (a multi point turn), it's awesome.

How do you program? I see option where system remembers the earlier parking route and we can use the path to reverse. Is there a way to program fixed parking path?

After starting the car, press the Parking Assistant button in the centre console, then select record from the iDrive screen, you can then name the sequence.

I have been checking and calling on this for months. I keep hearing and reading different things. Sometimes when I call the BMW hotline, they tell me that it won't be available as a FOD update. Other times they tell me that the are not even aware of it. And finally, I have also been told its coming but they can't tell me when. I just can't image that people like you and me that got our cars earlier would not be able to eventually get this feature. Especially, when it was demoed nearly a year before the car was even avail anywhere

Wow, that’s great! I’ve been waiting for this for a long time. Unfortunately, my car right now is in service for the battery recall. Just curious why there any prerequisites? I have parking assist plus, comfort, access, and driver assistance, professional already.

As long as the car already have Parking Assistant Plus and Comfort Access, and is running 11/2022, it should be available to order. Maybe you can ask the dealership to upgrade the car's I-Level to 22-11-525 or later while they have it.

That's what im thinking of doing. However, I read something early on about IXs that were built before March of this year possibly not having the right hardware (even though I have the prerequisites you mentioned). I was one of the first to take delivery in US, the first week of April

I guess we'll see after you get back the car. From BMW's documentation, it doesn't seem that limitation exists.

OTA rollout is regional but is happening in some countries for 11/2022 right now. Hopefully it will be released in UK soon.

Parking Assistance Professional is available in the UK through the ConnectedDrive Store App. I purchased it outright during the Black Friday sale.

My xdrive50 (build date of Feb 22) is now on 11/2022.44. I inquired about getting Park Assist Pro from my dealer, and got the following response:

"I'm afraid he cant have it as per Tsara case It is my understanding that this ConnectedDrive upgrade is only available for vehicles produced from 03/22. As the upgrade is not shown in the ConnectedDrive store or on the dealer cockpit it is not possible to purchase and activate this ConnectedDrive upgrade."

(I asked what the Tsara Case is, and was told "It’s a BMW technical case we submit and get response from.")

So that's that. Ah well. £450 saved I guess.

Isn't this crazy. I got a similar response. Mine was produced in Feb as well. Wasn't the purpose of this new BMW design to be able to upgrade to new services! It's not like this car has been produced for several years and there are compatibility issues. What were they thinking to not have this compatible with all produced IX's. The only thing I have been able to upgrade to was the traffic speed camera
