Passenger mirror in reverse

Hi.
I’m used to the passenger mirror lowering when in reverse in a BMW, but the iX angles the passenger mirror almost straight down.
You cannot see the rear wheel so you cannot tell if you are getting near the gutter.
Is there anyway to fix this so it doesn’t aim so far down? The dealer is not aware of what can be done, but I’ve seen other references to a coding change for the angle. The dealer said they cannot change the coding For me…
As it is, I have to manually adjust the passenger mirror before I can reverse park.

I find this a bit annoying too. Haven’t found a way to change the angle, but have found a way for it not to lower at all. If the passenger mirror is selected on the drivers door (so green light is lit on the passenger mirror), I find it doesn’t lower it when reversing.

Yes, that has been my only option. Leave it in passenger selection then manually adjust it down before it try to park. It takes five or ten seconds and that is usually enough to get abused by the car behind me.
Although you may need to dig a bit, this video should be able to give you a fair idea about what needs to be done.
