Hi,

I received information from bmw dealer that my car is now in production today.

To all the people who are getting the deliveries, Any idea how long is it taking to finish production?

Also, any updates on lease quotes and incentives in US?

Mine has been stuck in that same spot for weeks!
Same here. My car's Production begins status achieved on March 15. According to Genius Production finishes on May 12. The process can not take 57 days I assume. I. e. the terms 'begins' and 'finishes' have different meaning. I would also be interested in getting a lease rate. Has anybody information?
What is "genius production"?
I think there is a helpline number called genius.
Quoting from another thread : If you want to find out your production week just call BMW Genius (844) 443-6487
The "genius" told my my production should finish April 5....that would be really fast

Yeah, do update us then if anything changes in next couple of weeks. Maybe they are not updating the tracking site.
Nothing moving super fast it seems. I've been in production begins for 3.5 weeks. They did tell me that it is supposed to be completed by April 8... We'll see if there is any movement this week considering its the 6th.
I am in the same stage as well and was told by BMW Genius over the phone this week, that it is pretty common for this stage to take around 2 months. At least for pure electric vehicles, this would be the case. I.e. my car would finish production on 5-12. After that date another 8 to 10 weeks to pick up date at the dealership.
Staus changed to ->
IN THE PAINT BOOTH
How long did it take to reach at this stage since production start?

At least 3 weeks...once it gets to "exterior body assembly begins"...it goes really fast

Hey @TrainingCaptain, MANY CONGRATULATIONS on your new car. Did you hear any update from them about this yet?

It’s on the following stage: awaiting carrier assignment since last week. Production has finished. Dealer released the following preliminary numbers (they said this will change later) for me for lease:
Cash down: $7,000 24 months:$2464 30 months:$2082 36months:$1834 for 15k miles

which seems high as the bmw offer : Monthly lease payments of $1,289 per month for 36 months is based on an adjusted capitalized cost of $82,910 (MSRP of $89,145, including destination and handling fee of $995, less $3,585 capitalized cost reduction, $0 security deposit and suggested dealer contribution of $2,650).

Comparing the figures, this one is surely a bit pricy. Nevertheless, I guess you're pretty excited about the car. I hope you'll get it soon and those wheels will be rolling on the city roads well..
So today, the car is officially in transit. My dealer said that there is no markup on car but a 1% markup on 2.99% apr listed on bmwusa. I hope I can bypass that by getting better offer from bank.
Congratulations on the arrival of your fantastic looking car.
