Anybody have an estimate of the quality check phase? My iX M60 finished assembly on May 20th and has been sitting in quality check ever since. Steps 151, 152, 153 and 154 were all done in 2 days (May 19 and 20). I'm getting really excited and just had my charge port installed yesterday!

Maybe it’s waiting for the passenger lumbar support. Lol

seriously though, if assembly is finished, how could it be waiting for parts? Strange. At least I’m not the only one.
I will continue to wait and read the manual and watch every YouTube video so I can just drive off when the car is delivered.

No, it is still in quality check. I hear there is a shortage for Sirius XM modules.

Mine m60 also just enter Quality Check as of yesterday and my 50 is still in QC…literally just spoke to bmw genius and he said no info he can pull out from his end and that vehicles that are in QC more than a couple days will likely be waiting for small parts to complete the build rather than leaving the vehicle out on the lot…so
Lumbar delete is not the only issue here

Unfortunately no, it is still sitting in QC. No detail whatsoever can be provided thru Genius or Dealer…but from what I’m seeing, it is likely a shortage of some standard part that affecting both 50 and 60…because both my 50 and m60 are in QC…while my 50 has been in for over 4 weeks and m60 just about 1 week now. There is no stop sale or any other recall issued on both models as I checked the VINs, so whatever the part they missing they are missing them badly….

I would imagine it’s a shortage for a specific component in a certain package. On other forums, some people show their 50 going straight from QC to the port. I’m guessing DAPP or luxury package, maybe even B&W sound. I loaded every option on my 60.. I’ll be ok with the wait as long as it doesn’t start going backwards.

Yeah, my 50 has quite the opposite of m60, it doesn’t have BW or luxury package, while m60 is fully loaded…if that is the case that some people have their 50 so straight then could it be allocation issue? Where are you located?

I am in Chicago. But I wouldn’t think it would be an allocation issue since it was already allocated and built with a VIN. Does your 50 and 60 have DAPP? I have been reading that there are major component delays on that package causing orders to be outright cancelled (but those weren’t built yet).

I’m in NJ. Yeah I suspect it wouldn’t be allocation but rather missing parts. My 50 doesn’t have DAPP and my 60 has. That is why it makes me think that it is a problem about parts that shares on both cars
