Anyone know if the iX will allow a roof rack cross bar option? I looked at the configuration website and it looks like there are no roof rails.
If there are no rails then you can absolutely bet that some sort of integrated roof rack system accessories will be offered.
It looks like that will be available to buy, this is from the Swedish BMW site. €330Question ... pics depict rails and cargo container. will there be an option for just the "crossbars" for those that already have a cargo container that attaches to any SUV crossbar?
Also Available in Belgium for the iX.It looks like that will be available to buy, this is from the Swedish BMW site. €330
Det multifunktionella lasthållarsystemet kan kombineras med alla BMW Takrails och takboxar och har en design som passar perfekt till bilen. Det är mycket lätt att montera och har ett stöldskyddande låssystem.www.bmw.se
Thule just posted their solution...
Thanks! Been checking and had missed it being added. Ordered, although bit of lead time in UK but should come before car.
With some luck, there is one in the showroom of your dealer...Thanks! Been checking and had missed it being added. Ordered, although bit of lead time in UK but should come before car.
Anyone with their iX happen to have the measurements between fixing points and also the distance from back fix point to boot join? My iX looks like might come just before a holiday trip is planned so need to sort a roof box before comes.
Easy.Apologies for the ignorance: I've never used roof rails before on any vehicle. Can I mount them myself and are they easily removable after use?
I tho roof rails were permanent fixtures fitted by the factory but this thread suggests otherwise.
as the example for thule systems... it looks like this.Easy.
There is a clips that you have to switch away.
Turn in the bolt and put the rack over it.
Fix with the nut.
To remove, just the opposite.
release the nut.
Unscrew the bolt
Swap the clips again on his place.
