I have the rack sitting in my garage waiting for a free weekend to install, so it very much exists 
I believe Thule now have fixtures / bars available for IX.
In Australia, I can find: Thule WingBar Evo Black Roof Rack For BMW iX 5 Door SUV with Fixed Points 2021 Onward
There are a couple of models with different load ratings.

On Tesla Model 3, empty roof rack bars were fairly scientifically measured by a few reviewers to be only a 1.5-2% hit to range
I'd imagine on the less aerodynamic iX it couldn't be much worse
Interesting. I was offered one here in Australia for my 50 and the factory hitch is so neat. There is a release button next to the rear seat buttons in the cargo compartment and it drops down when you want it. From memory too it was cheap - maybe $600 or so?

I understand this will be fine for a bicycle rack but my dealer in CA said cutting into the electrical for trailer lights or a towing load would be detected and void the warranty.
Stealth Hitches would like to borrow an iX from someone in the Atlanta area so they can size a hitch for it. The volunteer gets a free hitch. Great product. I have it one my X5.

I plan on getting this. However, for awareness for others, they were unsuccessful in electronic integration and/or working out the communication protocol BMW is using. As such, there's no way to let the car know that the hitch you have back there is NOT an object you're about to run into. So expect alarms when you try and go in reverse.
But that's the best/only option right now for a hitch for folks to carry a bike rack. Ridiculous on BMWs part...but there you have it.
