Memory settings are stored connected to profiles even without the buttons on the door. So when wife unlocks, seats and other settings are according to her profile, and when i unlock, then its according to mine.
I can confirm. I just picked up my 2023 iX with Ultimate Pkg and there are no memory seat buttons, despite them still being shown in the owners manual.I have luxury package but don't have seat memory button next to seat adjustment, which seems to be odds given most of BMW iX car I see online do have the seat button w luxury package. Is this a defect from the car manufacture perspective? I called my dealership in US to ask about it and they said the seat memory button does not exist if I don't have luxury package but then said even w luxury package will not have seat memory button. who should I believe? where to find out this information?
My understanding is 1) without the memory buttons if you move your seats while in your profile it memorizes the last position, so you cannot go back to a preset position as with the memory buttons (eg if you get car serviced) and 2) the seat memory pack also adds the massage seats.I don't have memory seats and was really pleased to find the seats moved to position with the different keys. Which made me wonder what else you get if you're paying for memory seats as that's all I've ever used it for in previous cars with it.
Now it's all changed, as they have the '24s out now. The BMW configurator is still awful though and won't tell you what all is in each pkg grouping. My understanding is 1) without the memory buttons if you move your seats while in your profile it memorizes the last position, so you cannot go back to a preset position as with the memory buttons (eg if you get car serviced) and 2) the seat memory pack also adds the massage seats.
