Some of you may have seen my rant last week about how challenging it was to actually get an allocation for a BMW IX. I have been seeing stories on this forum of others who are having the same problem and/or have been informed their orders have been canceled. If you really want a 2022 IX here is what I suggest you do. Get in touch with Hans over at NextLevel Auto brokers. Login • Instagram

Not only did Hans locate/reserve my new IX, but he did it in less than 24hrs and found me one with every option available (including the Bowers and Wilkins Stereo) in the color combination I wanted. BONUS POINTS - he found one already built and just waiting at the port at Bremerhaven to be shipped to the US! About an hour ago I received my Vin and product number. You know I am already tracking that baby in the mygarage.bmwix.com

Hans's communication was TOP NOTCH, he was absolutely easy to work with, helped me with every step that needed to be done with the BMW dealer that is bringing the car into the US, and helped advise me on getting my new IX courtesy shipped to the BMW dealer in my area. The money I spent on his services was invaluable!

Anecdote: I called my locale dealer to confirm they had heard from the BMW dealer bringing in the car into the US in regards to the courtesy delivery and they told me it was a good thing I had done it since they were about to call me to let them know that the 2022 allocations for the IX50 were done in July. They were not getting any allocations and all their current orders were going to have to go to 2023 models and be modified due to all the options BMW is having to remove from these cars due to WW parts and chip shortages.

Once again - I can't Thank Hans enough for his professionalism and help on this. Good on you sir!

Another +1 for Hans. Same story as @dbailey , he found me a loaded iX recently built, and it's in port in Bremerhaven waiting for a ship to come to the western US. It is slated for a dealer less than 100 miles from me, so we'll pick it up.

Not only that, after I paid him a modest broker fee, he kept checking the status to sure things were ok. Our business was complete- Hans found me a car and I purchased it through a dealer. Yet he kept watching my car via the vin, making sure everything was going well. I wish I had found him before and will certainly use him again.

How did you guys spec your iXs?

I "took over" someone's prior order- it was an all options car which was fine / good with me- black sapphire and chestnut interior.

Did you have a certain spec in mind before going with that one?
Absolutely. I didn’t spec radiant heating (So Cal) nor titanium bronze exterior trim. I picked oxide gray instead of black. However I would have picked this exterior / interior color, and don’t mind more options. Local dealers wanted $15k (1 dealer), $10k (2 dealers), $5k (1 dealer) OVER MSRP. I’m very happy getting options instead of just paying an exorbitant dealer markup. For what it’s worth.

Thank you for your kind words @dbailey @pillpusher84 & @ocflyer !

I am very blessed to have been able to help you all in such challenging times. These were much more limited and hard to find than the M5 CS list that I was previously maintaining on Bimmerpost.

I look forward to helping you guys more on this forum - hopefully BMW increased production and sends cars with more packages!

Echo everyone's feedback here.
+1 for Hans. Search for a ready to pick up iX was stressful. I almost gave up and was about to compromise with a Cayenne but Hans didn't. He asked me to wait for 2 days.

He kept looking and eventually got me the best Ironman build possible at MSRP.
Dealership did markup APR by 1% on top of BMWs 3.99. That's nothing compared to crazy 5k+ markups others were charging. Refinancing to a credit union at the right time should address this.

On top of getting cars at MSRP during this EV shortage, Brokering is all about getting one readily available. And boy Hans did deliver on it.

Thank you so much Hans.

+1 to Hans.

picked mine up last week. There is a bit of regret for MAYBE not getting a fully loaded one, but I'm happy with what I got.

Thank you Hans.

No regret! Options are mostly a profit play anyway, and a month from now you'll forget there was some option you could have gotten that you didn't. Besides maybe you can "subscribe" and get some options later. I'd rather have the car in 2022, with a big tax credit than wait until next year!
