For over 3 days, I can't find where I can turn on "Speed Limit Info" on the iX. My old 530e has it on both the dash and HUD. Showing me the speed limit and if I am speeding, it willl turn the number "Red".

I found the Speed Limit Assistance, but that's really of no help. I don't need another nanny telling me to go slower when it is a clear country road.

I believe my iX has everything except that luxury package. Am I missing something? Or this function is gone in iDrive 8?

My issue is similar. When attempting to add show speed limit on HUD or on dash, car says "not available in this country". Any ideas?

I know this won't help but in the UK you see the speed limit on the infront display and the HUD when you exceed it if flashes on and off for a while. It changes automatically by GPS and also when the camera detects a sign (sometimes it sets 80 when seeing 30 with alarming affect if on adaptive driving)

Yes, mine has told me the limit is 80 quite a few times now. Other times it just seems to guess it’s 20 for no apparent reason and then keeps flashing to tell me I’m speeding.
I can’t find a way to take the speed limit off HUD though.
Only had it for 10 days though, so still investigating all the menus!

You would have thought the software designers would realise 80 is an impossible speed limit and default to GPS info - we are miles away from level 3 autonomous driving !
I see that the UK government is proposing to allow us to watch TV or movies on self driving cars

I got a respond from BMW Genius via email... And I need to take it on its face value.

Thank you for contacting the BMW i Team. We appreciate your inquiry.

Speed Limit Info was not an available option for the 2022 BMW iX at the time of production. As such, your BMW was not equipped with this feature. I regret any disappointment this may cause.

I hope this information is helpful. Thanks again for your inquiry.

For your convenience, BMW i Team members can be reached Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Eastern Time. Feel free to call us via the BMW iConcierge Hotline at 1-855-236-1025.
I hope they will at least put it back later. And the stupid hardware are already installed. Speed Limit Info is not specified anywhere in the configuration (at least not what I can see). I understand parts shortage and production delays could cause this. It just makes me wonder what else is missing and that they never told us. What other features we are used to with our BMW are missing...

It is missing quite a few features - my UK vehicle built in Novemeber 2021
No GPS position saving for Panorama Camera view - i4 has it
No Hot spot App
No manuever assistant (it has been said this would included in March update)
