Spotify stopped working and BMW Cloud synchronisation inactive

Hi there

I noticed yesterday we couldn't access Spotify and thought we were having a signal issue.
Today I tried to login to my settings on the dashboard and see there is a notification - BMW synchronisation inactive.
Ive tried resetting my password but it's not recognising this in the car.

Has anyone experienced this before and have a solution?

Thanks

I had 2 notifications this week, one saying the map had been updated and the other saying cloud sync inactive (I could not send commands from my phone to car). I followed the instructions via the cloud sync notification and found the 1st option of scanning QR code on car screen using phone did not work. Tried 2nd option of logging in with my user name and password and it worked. It would not allow me to do this when driving only when stationary. The various destinations I had tried to send all appeared and pre-conditioning from phone works again. My assumption on this was that the phone needed to resync to the car via cloud after the map update?
I had to re-sync mine last week also. Like you, the QR code method didn’t work. But logging in on the car with ID and password was successful.

Sadly neither of these have worked for me. It's not recognising logging in via the car directly . I thought after an IOS update the problem was solved but hadn't. Then the dealership suggested deleting the MyBMW app and reinstalling but that hasn't worked either. It's really annoying.

You could try login into to your BMW account using a PC/Ipad on the BMW ID Login page. If it does not recognise your password then you have the option of resetting password. The HTTP link is

Failing that I would contact BMW UK customer service who should be able to help
Same issue here, which started out of the blue on the 5/12/22. There was an update to the BMW App earlier this week, and having installed it on my phone, the car is now back to having Spotify working, journey and charge updates come through as they should and remote commands can be sent to the car.
Reinstall Spotify: If Spotify is not working properly, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Spotify app on your BMW's infotainment system. This can help resolve any software-related issues.
