Recently placed an order for an IX 40 on the 23/12 last year and got told today by the dealership they expect it could take another month for build slot and then they aren't sure when delivery would be. Has anyone else ordered one recently and got a rough timeline for delivery. I'm due to replace my current car in October so if it's going to be longer than that I'll have to look at my options
@ExE-Tron owner They can't estimate when delivery can be? That's different from my experience. I ordered an iX40 mid August 2022 and the reason I went for it was because the sales guy assured me that it would be about a 2 month wait and he was fairly confident and didn't anticipate any delays. So many other EVs had 1 year or more lead times.

Anyway, I got it in about 9 weeks, so maybe some dealers are more "in tune" with the factory than others?

Lucky you!
Hope your buy-off goes well and you can start to enjoy the thrill of EV torque heading into Spring.

I’d be interested to know the “BMW Charge”p/kWh at the 250kW IONITY charge points and how easy it was to register?

I keep reading that it’s 29p/kWh at best and it’s discounted for 1 year unlike in the US where they have unlimited Charges for 2 years FOC and in Australia they get 5 years of 30m charge sessions FOC.
Yet another area we get ripped off on!
@Croddlebopper It's 26 p per kwh with the BMW discount. Setting up is very easy using this link

Ripped off in the UK? I have a different perspective. I worked out that the savings (various tax breaks, almost 90% discount on parking in parts of London, no tolls, fuel savings, maintenance etc) mean that I'm saving more each month running the iX vs driving a petrol/diesel SUV, than the cost of the lease, so effectively, the net cost is zero for me.

My friends in other countries including the USA don't have the same level of EV savings that I'm getting here in the UK.
