I've got an iX40 ordered with 22 inch wheels and it's going to be a 3 year lease. Can anyone, particularly in the UK tell me how many services I would need over 3 years/45k miles? Also, how long would the 22inch tyres last?

I have signed a lease with maintenance added, but just reflecting upon whether that's actually worth it? Would the tyres last 20-30k miles or do they wear out in 10k miles? If the tyres on the iX wear out relatively quickly, then maybe the maintenance thing is a good deal. I have read that the brake pads would last 6 years on the iX too.

Many thanks!

1 service at 2 years £300 not mileage dependant on EV’s and 2 sets of rears 1 set of fronts around £2000. So if maintenance over £60/ month a close call. Some UK owners have driven over 18k miles and haven’t seen posts on tyre replacement costs etc. I’m on a 4 year service plan £540 paid on instalments and you can cancel any time and only pay for services used. Includes 2 services, MOT and map updates after 3 years

@ICS_UK Thanks so much for the detailed reply. I have signed up to £109 a month for maintenance, so maybe it's worth cancelling, given what you have shared.

Ouch!

FYI I pay £33 monthly for a full maintenance package on a similar mileage profile to yours. Xdrive 50 with 22inch wheels.

The BMW/Alphabet maintenance packages are usually uncompetitive if that is what you have been sold?
@swally_style Yes, it's with alphabet. I have asked the dealer to remove maintenance from the contract.

I have an iX40. Dealer agreed to bundle in the maint package and the tyre and wheel insurance as part of the deal.

I was warned the tyres are very expensive because of the load they carry and the specialist fitting required.
