Hope everyone is doing well.
Ordered back in November and heard nothing from dealer. Got an invitation to preview the car back in March. Asked the dealer about my order and he found it built and waiting for a ship at the port. Unfortunately it has been sitting there for almost a month for an east coast delivery. Dealer did say May delivery. Do you think they are holding them back? Any customer deliveries in the US yet?

Ours was at the port for about a week. Just got on a ship on the 1st and due to dock in California on the 29th. Then supposedly on a truck to AZ for the final leg of the journey. Just got off the phone with the Genius hotline and was able to get the name of the ship that it's on. Once your tracker says "in transit", I'd give them a call and they'll have better information for you.

I called BMW Genius yesterday to verify a production completion date of May 5, 2022 for mine and May 20, 2022 for my husband's iX50. The Genius told me that when my iX50 goes "in transit" that I can call back and track the ship that it is on. Apparently, the cars leave out of the Bremerhaven Port. Just ordered today (4/8/22) and dealer thought 4-8 months. Likely will be a 2023.

Congratulations @GSAT! Are you sticking to this color or planning something otherwise?

Did you receive a production number? I ordered mine on April 2nd and am still waiting for production number.

@carchase54 - mostly will stick with it. Waiting to see cars on road to help decide.

@ACD I’ve ordered on the same date as well. Didn’t get anything so far. I was told I would get one by late summer
I’m in the Philadelphia area.

I just wanted to post an update. I logged into my BMW Garage app to find that my iX50 has progressed two steps. Now, my vehicle is in the "Paint Booth." So, if all goes well, production will be completed as planned for May 5, 2022. Pre-ordered on 8/18/2021-US member.

My Aventurine Beauty has advanced to Quality Check status today. Can't believe how things are progressing. Once the production starts it moves along quickly with the robotics. Before long I can contact BMW Genius to find out what cargo ship will be used to transport it to the US. MarineTraffic: Global Ship Tracking Intelligence | AIS Marine Traffic
My iX just reached west coast this morning (to port Hueneme). Waiting for it to reach Seattle soon for delivery. But looks like it has a stop sale about airbag sensor issue 🤞
Did all of you pay dealer premium charges (pure dealer profit) above MSRP?
I haven't seen any BMW dealerships charging markups (so far at least)

US member. Pre-ordered 8/18/2021. No dealer markup at our dealership and we are purchasing two BMW 2022 iX50's. My iX50 arrived at the Port of Baltimore on 5/21/2022 and my husband's is awaiting cargo ship assignment at the Port of Bremerhaven. This is my third BMW purchase at this dealership and my husband's second.

The dealer from my area of Florida priced in 7.5k markup for the iX pushing the price over 100k. I'm reluctant to spend that much on a vehicle despite the excellent test drive we experienced.

I have to admit that I would think twice about purchasing a vehicle from a dealer who is taking advantage of the customer.
No markups on ours that we just picked up although we found out that they had a build slot available from a cancelled order and they were marking that up 10K.

I just logged into my BMW Garage and my iX50 has now left the Port of Baltimore and is transit to my dealership. Now, I am just awaiting my husband's iX50 being assigned to a ship to the US, hopefully sometime this week. This has been a different auto buying experience for me. My previous two BMW X5's were assembled in Spartanburg, SC.
